THE EEBC DECISION TEN YEARS LATER AND ETHIOPIA'S ILLEGAL OCCUPATION:

STATEMENT ON THE 10TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE ERITREA ETHIOPIA BORDER
COMMISSION (EEBC) DECISION

By ERIPN

The Eritrean Professionals Network in UK is a professional's group
with over 300 members of British Eritrean professionals working and
living in UK.

First and foremost, EriPN would like to remind everybody that the
Final and Binding EEBC decision of 13 April 2002 was rendered
unanimously by the five distinguished Eritrea Ethiopia Border
Commissioners and it was endorsed by the UN Security Council, African
Union (AU) and European Union (EU).

However, after 10 years, Ethiopia continues to obstruct the full
implementation of the decision and is illegally occupying sovereign
Eritrean territories. No action is being taken against Ethiopia to
accept and implement the internationally agreed final and binding
EEBC decision.

EriPN urges the UN Security Council, US and UK, AU and EU to
immediately take a concrete action to ensure the unconditional
implementation of the Eritrea-Ethiopia Boundary Commission Decision
of April 13, 2002.

In particular, as British Eritrean professionals and tax payers, we
demand that the British Government show leadership, fairness and take
all necessary measures to ensure that the Ethiopian Government lives
up to its treaty obligation and implement the EEBC decision in its
entirety and without any precondition.

EriPN Task Group, 13 April 2012
