Eritrea falls to No. 142 in FIFA rankings

Eritrea's national soccer team, the Red Sea Boys, has dropped 12
places, falling to the 142nd place in the recently released FIFA
rankings.
The Red Sea Boys moved from 130th to 142nd place with 190 points, 821
point after Cameroon - the best African team according to the rankings -
which stands at the 13th place with 1011points.
Ethiopia and Djibouti ranked 108th and 186th, respectively, while Sudan
FIFA rankings fell by 5 points to 110th. Kenya, who were beaten by
Eritrea twice in 2007, is the best-placed Horn of Africa nation at No
92. Somalia is Africa's worst placed nation at No 197.
The FIFA ranking, which was released on Wednesday, is based on
international results over the past four years with more points awarded
for wins in major tournaments
It should be noted that the Red Sea Boys have withdrawn from the 2010
World Cup qualifiers.
