Businessmen asked to explore market in Eritrea

ISLAMABAD: Ambassador of the State of Eritrea Wednesday said the
Eritrean government and people have special place for Pakistanis due to
historic political relations between the two countries.
Abdu M Heggi said Eritrea is also an agricultural economy as about 80
percent of their population are involved in farming and herding that
offered great trade potential in this sector.
The meeting with president Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry
(ICCI), Mohammad Ijaz Abbasi, he said there was great investment
opportunity in mining and tourism.
He said the Free Trade Zones on the ports of Massawa and Assab on the
coasts of the Red Sea, would provide employment opportunities, develop
technology know-how and human resource capacity and enhance foreign
trade and exchange. staff report
