Cuba: Biggest Health Graduation

15 de julio de 2009, 16:40Havana, Jul 15 (Prensa Latina) In the next
days, Cuba will have the biggest graduation of public health
professionals in the history of the country, said Roberto Gonzalez, Vice
Minister of Study and Investigations of the Cuban Health Ministry.
Gonzalez expressed in a press round that between July 24 and August 4,
more than 25,000 students will be graduated in five specialties. Among
them, 4,700 doctors, 1, 200 of them from foreign countries, and more
than 3,500 nurses.
Nearly 760 dentists and the first 143 psychologists are included in the
list.
An important group of foreigners will be graduating after having studied
completely or partially under Cuban guidance.
Nicaragua, Venezuela, Haiti, Guatemala, Guyana, Ecuatorial Guinea,
Eritrea, Gambia, Bolivia and South Africa are some of the countries
represented.
Gonzalez highlighted the high scientific level of the new graduates,
received under an excellent scientific program.
