Eritrean runners performed very well in the 12th IAAF World Championships
10,000 meter race. It kicked off at 20:50 Berlin Time, with three Eritreans
in the front pack. Zersenay Tadesse, Kidane Tadesse, and Teklemariam Medhin
all performed at their seasonal best. Zersenay came in 2nd with a time of
26:50.12. Kidane finished 9th with a time of 27:41.50, and Teklemariam
finished 12th with a time of 27:58.89. We are extremely proud of our
athletes knowing that they have and will continue to make their nation
proud.
