YPFDJ- Dallas Chapter's mission is to organize, educate, and empower =20=
the youth, it is within that spirit that YPFDJ- Dallas is once again =20=
excited to announce their momentum is still growing and prospering. =20=
The Eritrean community in the Dallas and the surrounding areas are =20
still a buzz from the electrical performance Bereket Mengisteab put =20=
on for them this past weekend. The legendary artist, Bereket =20
Mengisteab and his band mates, Yemane Kidane & Awet Naizghi were =20
highly impressed by the youth of Dallas and their strength as a =20
chapter, they also enjoyed the love and support shown to them by the =20=
Eritrean music lovers in Dallas.
This was the chapter's 2nd fundraiser guayla, and yet again they =20
were amazed by the support shown to them by the Dallas Eritrean =20
community. When Bereket Mengisteab took the stage he got every guest =20=
on their feet starting the guayla off with patriotic zeal. The =20
guests danced throughout the night into the early morning and did =20
not want the guayla to end. Ogbamariam Kubrom was overjoyed with the =20=
course of events that night and shared, "it was one of the best =20
guaylas I have attended in a long time, Bereket Mengisteab and his =20
band put on an amazing show." The chapter members were happy to see =20=
their guests enjoying themselves, and the event's success only added =20=
fuel to the chapter's hopes of positively affecting the lives of =20
their local Eritrean community as well as their homeland.
On a more personal note, YPFDJ- Dallas was extremely moved by the =20
relationship formed with Bereket Mengisteab and the band mates =20
throughout the weekend. Along with the wisdom shared, the most =20
endearing part to the members were the parting words Bereket =20
Mengisteab shared with them. =E2=80=9CI looked up seeking help and =
guidance =20
from our martyrs, they looked down to me and told me KESNE...the you=20=
th are here now, and they will take good care of us.=E2=80=9D To =
receive th=20
at type of emotional support from a man who not only lived through t=20=
he struggle, but played an intricate part in it, was truly an honor =20=
and only added to the resolve of the chapter.
YPFDJ- Dallas would like to thank Berektet Mengisteab, Yemane =20
Kidane, and Awet Naizghi; as well as the Eritrean Community members =20=
of the DFW area for their continued support and words of =20
encouragement.
Also, YPFDJ Dallas and the Eritrean community are EXTREMELY EXCITED =20=
TO ANNOUNCE that the incredibly talented singers and performer =20
Tesfalem Arefaine (KORCHACH) and BEKITA ALI will be in Dallas=E2=80=A6
