Cycle Sport October 2010 issue is available in the UK today, Wednesday
September 1, and it's packed with our usual excellent writing,
fantastic photography and in-depth analysis of professional cycling,
all for £4.25.
With the World Championships coming up in a month, we've got a major
14-page feature looking at the place of the worlds in the cycling
calendar.
"There are three races that have a buzz that no others have,"
two-times Worlds winner Greg LeMond told us. "The Tour de France, the
World Championships and Paris-Roubaix."
The Worlds road race is an anachronism - the one race of the year run
with national teams, and the only race whose victor wears the winner's
jersey for an entire year. The Tour de France winner doesn't get to
wear his yellow jersey at the Tour of Spain, nor the Giro d'Italia
winner his pink jersey, once the race has finished. Only the world
champion wears the rainbow stripes throughout the season.
