2 injured in Florida Ave. NW crash
Update,9:41 p.m.:
Two women pedestrians were injured tonight in the Adams Morgan area of
the District when a car struck them, authorities said. The car then
struck a restaurant.
One of the women was in potentially life-threatening condition after
the 8:45 collision, according to the D.C. fire and EMS department.
Both were transported to local hospitals; the second woman was
reportedly in serious condition.
After striking the pedestrians, the car, described as a four-door
sedan, struck the Keren Coffee Shop, an Eritrean
restaurant at 1780 Florida Ave., near 18th Street and U Street NW.

Earlier:
Two people were injured Wednesday night after a vehicle crashed into a
restaurant on the 1700 block of Florida Ave. NW in the District,
according to authorities.
An alert sent out by the Metropolitan Police Department says the road
is closed. The Prince of Petworth blog has posted photos
(http://www.princeofpetworth.com/) of the scene.
