Mustafa Osman: "Qatar's Diplomacy Achieved Success at All Levels"

Doha - Giving prominence to the Qatari diplomacy under the leadership of HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani, a ranking Sudanese official has said that such a diplomacy has showcased effective successes at all regional and international levels, recalling however the tangible and efffective role it played in resolving the Djibouti-Eritrea conflict, the settlement of the Lebanese crisis in addition to its prominent role in ending the dispute in Sudan's encalve of Darfur.

In an interview with Qatari Arabic daily, Arrayah, published here on Friday, Dr. Mustafa Osman Ismail, the advisor to the Sudanese President said, "Countries are not measured according to their size of area , but as per their action and the role they play as far as the regional and international causes are concerned".

Qatar, he said, is one of the supportive countries to sudan adding that HH the Emir has showed several honourable stands concerning all causes Sudan has passed through, especially the mammoth and tireless efforts Qatar has been undertaking vis-a-vis the Darfur issue and Qatar's hosting of the Darfur peace negotiations.

The Sudanese senior official voiced hope that peace would be realized in the Sudanese Enclave of Darfur by the end of the year.

Highlightiing Qatar's contribution and support to reaching an east sudan peace agreement, Dr. Osman Ismail said, "Qatar is the sole Arab country that has carried out developmental projects after signing the said agreement. Such developmental projects included the highway linking Sudan with Eritrea and the model villages Qatar as built to accommodate and shelter the displaced," he was quoted by Arrayah daily as saying.

The Sudenese Presidential Advisor underscored meantime the unprecendented efforts of HH Sheikha Mozah Bint Nasser Al Misned and HH's due attention to education of women.

He went on to say, "in view of the grand ,tangible and effective role HH Sheikha Mozah plays in this regard, Qatar has achieved mammoth progress as far as education of women and technology acquisition are concerned."

The Sudanese senior official praised the urban renaissance Qatar is now witnessing in all sports and cultural domains and pointed out that Qatar has thus ushured from the local and regional level to the international one, the matter which clearly reflects the success of the wise and far-sighted Qatari diplomacy.
