Tadese Hopes To Bounce Back At Great South Run
Published: Oct 20th 2010 12:05 PM EDT by Mario Fraioli
Half marathon world-record holder not happy with his recent performance.
He settled for silver at last weekend's IAAF World Half Marathon Championships in China, but Zersenay Tadese is looking to bounce back in a big way at this Sunday's Great South Run in Portsmouth, U.K.
The half marathon world-record holder from Eritrea, who was aiming for his fifth consecutive world half marathon championship, finished a surprising second to Kenya's William Kiprop. He headlines a strong field for this Sunday's race, which includes world cross country champion Joseph Ebuya of Kenya and Brit Andrew Lemoncello, who did not compete in China due to visa troubles.
