New York City Marathon champion, Olympic medalist Meb Keflezighi to visit Hillsborough High School

HILLSBOROUGH - Meb Keflezighi, 2009 New York City Marathon champion and 2004 Olympic silver medalist, will address the Hillsborough High School track and field program on Tuesday, November 9, at 1:35 p.m., school district officials announced.
Keflezighi recently formed the MEB Foundation, which stands for Maintaining Excellent Balance, to support causes in health, fitness and education. Although he doesn't have specific projects where the foundation will be making donations, his connection to his native, Eritrea, will be an influence.
>From 2:25 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. there will be book signing of the reigning champion's recently published book titled "Run to Overcome" in the high school auditorium for interested students and teachers.
Finally, Keflezighi will take the cross country team through a warm-up routine at 3 p.m. and observe part of their practice. The community and parents will have the opportunity to see Meb in action as he participates with school athletes.
