Eritrean Information Minister arrives in Khartoum to attend ASBU meetings
Khartoum Dec. 11 (SUNA)- The Eritrean Minister of Information, Ali Abdu, arrived in Sudan on Saturday to participate in the meetings of Arab States Broadcasting Union (ASBU), to be held in Khartoum on Tuesday with the participation of 21 states. The Eritrean Minister was received at Khartoum Airport by Minister of Information Kamal Obeid and a number of media officials. The Eritrean Minister said in press statements upon his arrival that the visit would provide an opportunity for discussing means for reactivating Arab-African media exchange
Abdu said he would discuss with his Sudanese counterpart boosting of media cooperation in the two countries
He congratulated the Sudanese Minister on the occasion of Sudan TV Golden Jubilee, which oincides with the Asbu celebrations
Meanwhile the Director of the Mauritian Radio, Moahmed Salim, arrived in the country on Saturday to participate in the meetings of ASBU. He was received at the airport by the Director of Sudan TV Mohamed Hatim Sulieman and Director of the Radio Public Corporation Mutasim Fadul
He expressed hope that ASBU meetings would contribute in boosting national unity in Sudan
