This weekend 13 year old Daniel Christian won 5 gold and 2 bronze medals in the Danish swimming championships for his age group. Daniel has an Eritrean mother and Danish father and was born in Asmara. When receiving his medals he showed the Eritrean flag 'Tadesse Zersenai style' (see attached photo).
His winning times at the long course chamniponships in Odense, Denmark, were:
200m breast stroke 2.44.34
100m breast stroke 1.17.53
400m individual medley 5.11.70
50m free style 27.62
200m individual medley 2.26.01
