Egypt deports 14 over residency violations

Egyptian authorities on Thursday deported 13 Eritreans back to their home
capital, Asmara, in addition to one Nigerian who was sent back to Lagos.
The Eritreans were arrested weeks ago by security authorities in Suez due to
undocumented residency, sources at Cairo International Airport said.
The deported Eritreans, in addition to the Nigerian, were deported on an
EgyptAir flight.
Egypt hosts large numbers of sub-Saharan Africans, many of whom do not have
a legitimate residency.
