Sudan, Ethiopia Agree not to Host Opposition of Each
Sudan and Ethiopia agreed not to host opposing figures, said Governor of
Sennar Ahmad Abbas, adding that the current situations at the two countries
require such a move, lauding affirmative decision taken by Ethiopian
government not to host rebels following to recent tension in Blue Nile
state.
Addressing press conference conducted in Bahr Dar in Ethiopia's Amhara
Region, following end of government committee on development of
Sudan-Ethiopia territorial relations, Abbas announced commitment of the two
countries safeguard borders against military activities, adding that the
two countries agreed to inaugurate Hantub-Kwara Highway soon to boost
border trade.
Abbas pointed out that the conference recommended joint efforts to fight
endemic diseases such as malaria, AIDS and kalazar in addition to
protecting environment in territorial areas.
