 Thefirst book on Tigirgna`s popular tradition- Awlo , Mase(town Crier or Toast Master) and Melqes(Eulogy) was released recently in the U.S. The author is MekonenTesfay from Michigan.
Awlo and Mase are instantly coined poems presented bywell-versed elders/community icons during wedding or other celebrations. Melqes is conducted at funeral (in praise of someone at death).
