I came across a few papers by Prof. Victoria Bernal who does research about Eritrea and the use of cyber technology by the Eritrean Diaspora to influence their government back home. Through cyber dialogue, she summarizes that Eritreans debated "the formulation of the constitution" whereby Eritrean "leaders are believed to themselves participate in on-line political debates under assumed names". Despite all smear campaigns, it is gratifying to read that the Government of Eritrea attempts and is open to listen to the people.
