VOA Tigrina program interviewed Eritrea’s Ambassador to Kenya, Ambassador Beyene Russom. Amb. Beyene discussed delivering a message from President Isaias Afewerki to Kenya’s President Mwai Kibaki. Amb Beyene as well as correcting the media distortions that came about following his visit with President Kibaki, he also discussed the content of President Isaias’ letter. Eritrea’s issues regarding IGAD and Ethiopia were also discussed . Moreover, Amb. Beyene clearly underscored that Eritrea never asked Kenya for Kenya’s support to rejoin IGAD.
