Eritrean President to Start Official Visit to Sudan Wednesday
Khartoum, Nov. 11 (SUNA) - Eritrean President Issias Afeworki is to
start Wednesday morning a two-day official visit to Sudan during which
he will participate in the concluding session of the Forum of the People
of Sudan, which will be held in the Friendship Hall in Khartoum.
President Afeworki will hold talks with the President of the Republic,
Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir, at the Guest House Wednesday evening on
bilateral relations and means of strengthening of cooperation between
the two countries as well as regional and international issues of mutual
concern.
The Eritrean President will meet during the visit with Vice- President
Ali Osman Mohamed Taha, The Assistants of the President of the Republic,
Dr. Nafie Ali Nafie and Musa Mohamed Ahmed and the Secretary General of
the Sudan People's Liberation Movement (SPLM), Pagan Amum.
Meanwhile, Sudan Ambassador to Eritrea Salah Mohamed Al-Hassan has
lauded the Eritrean stances toward Sudan and its people with regard to
the plots woven against Sudan.
The Ambassador expressed appreciation of the developed relations linking
Sudan and Eritrea. IF/BT
