DTCM hosts Eritrean tourism delegation
The Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) hosted a
delegation from Eritrea’s Ministry of Tourism and organized a 10-day
training programme for them at Jebel Ali Golf Resort and Spa.
Mr. Ibrahim Yaqoot, DTCM Executive Director Corporate Support, said the
visit of Eritrean team was part of the department’s endeavor to share
expertise and knowledge about the tourism industry and develop cooperation
with tourism bodies across the world.
The delegation was briefed about the role and activities of the department
in the field of hospitality industry training and human resources
development for the emirate’s expanding tourism industry.
The delegation gained knowledge about various aspects of hospitality
industry functioning during their programme at the five-star beach hotel in
Jebel Ali from November 21 to 30.
Members of the Eritrean delegation expressed their happiness about the
training programme and their shared their learning experiences that will
help strengthen relations between Dubai and Eritrea, especially in tourism
and hospitality sectors.
In April this year, the department hosted another Eritrean delegation and
organised a two-week training programme at the Novotel Dubai World Trade
Center.
