Do not blame the storm IRENE for the cancellation of ER. festival. blame the Organizing commitee. All this years we have been celebrating our festival the first or second week of August, why did not do it on time? Some body has to be questioned big time here. They know all this postmenments out come, kids all students are going back to school, most of the parents out of DC finishing thier vacation time going back to work....why? why? Why? some one is sabotaging from inside or incapable of leading my proud Eritreans.

Is there anyway to move the offices of IGAD and AU from Ethiopia? As far as we remain enemies, we have difficulties to get accomodated and share our ideology in the united Horn/Africa. I guess there are countries better suited to the assignment than Ethiopia.

Deki haerey,in the first place the British navy had tried to escape with out paying their due transaction. Conventionaly or traditionaly you have to get imprison if anyone does shop leaft and try to run out of any market places in Eritrea. No need any further investigation to put them in a jail if it is not in the jail it is totally unacceptable to keep them in hotel. Secondly, it is announced trhougout our media that they have done crime and voilet international laws. In addition, If we call them illegal arm smuggler, what would you expect the law to inact on these people. @ Halib Mentel, Well my friend, that is why we are asking you to pay your 2% tax, so that everyone can be housed in a hotel for their jail sentence... Seriously though, who said those foreigners were prisoners? they were being investigated and hadn't been charged. We can keep them under house arrest while being investigated, which is what a guarded hotel room basically is, but we can't lock them up in a slammer. We respect the rule of law in Eritrea you know, we are not like those savages in the west who will assume you are guilty until proven innocent; especially if you are the wrong color.

Thank you all who rchallenged the coment sen by IP 9945 99.35. Yes well done my firiends. it is good to challenge such a misleading comment. He labled the western media/journalists as professionals. Yes they can be professionals but in what sense. They are professionals well trained to spead lies, roumours, and blackmaling, backlisting inocent entities and nations like Eritrea. They are professionals to defame us. Professionals who sell truth for money. The other way I was listening to a certain Mehari abrha on the paltalk of tequamerti groups. He is Eritrean with grudges and is against the Eritrean government and lives in Sweeden. He said the same thing." The people in heSomaia monitoring group are professionals".He said he was working for them as an informer. He oppenly discosed that he was working for the Monitoring group giving them information about Eritrea. I am sure he was the one who was giving the fabricated information against Eritrea, which the mornitoring group has documented as a report. Where is the monitoring roup to be free and professional when they used Mehari abraha the stounch enemy of Eritrea to be their informer and guide to collect material for their report. Are they really professionals, why do then use enemies of Eritrea as their source, where enemeies of Eritrea do not have a sleep from painting black the eritrean image. I would not for once believe that Mehari would not use every opportunity to infuence the jugdment of the monitoring group. and yet he wants us to beleieve him that the Monitoring group areprofessionals. What a ploy!

I do not understand why Eritrea kept them in a hotel rather than in a jail. If a hotel is a place for illegal foreigners arm smuggler why not for Eritrean imprisons. I had a big question mark on the British Navy sill that our government kept them in a hotel as well. Why...Why. who was paying their daily expenses,who gave the order that the prisoner or law violator to be kept in a hotel???? of course I have to be shame on my self. We announced they came to kill us and we kept them in a motel or hotel. I am so sad guys....

There is a news coming out of Israeli media about the release of two piolets who were caught smugling god knows what & for what purpose. The news add there were in hotel guarded. If true why were in hotel instead of prison? In my opinion they should have detained them like anyone criminal. If Eritreans caught doing same thing in israel would israil treat same way?

Allow me to burst your bubble, honest journalists that honor their profession and stand for the hard truth and honesty are very few these days, and you won't find them in mainstream Western media. And when it comes to their nation's (and/or US's) foreign policy, good or bad, most of them read from the same script and sing to the same tune, which makes them essentially propagandists. This is not a theory, it is something concrete we Eritreans witnessed first hand as one medium after another disregarded the truth and justice at the expense of Eritrea and in favor of the biggest criminal - woyane, a servant entity their governments want to keep in power at all costs. Not counting their injustices against Eritrea, if your heroes were honest journalists they would have hammered Jendayi Frazer and her bosses about the greatest humanitarian crisis initiated under her watch in Somalia which gave birth to al Shabab. And why don't they grill their own government officials why they insist on supporting a Somali government that has no domestic acceptance and that wouldn't last one afternoon without foreign troops to protect it. They would have hammered woyane for gunning down protestors and imprisoning those who were elected into office; or Yamamoto for visiting those elected officials in prison, chocolate in hand, to ask them to surrender to woyane's wishes. The list just goes on and on. Coming to this interview, it's not the questions but the disrespectful way he was asking them and showing no interest in hearing the answers. Yemane and our officials are more than capable of answering any questions since the Eritrean stand is homegrown, straightforward and unwavering.
