In the moonlight, in your valleys and trenches
Your tigers are resting with fearless open eyes
Their hawkish stare pierces the impenetrable darkness
Guarding with their life something more priceless

Your mountains imposingly refuse foreign occupation
Camouflaging the creatures of their pride and protection
The boulders in your battlefields are burning with rage
Awaiting impatiently the decisive final stage
You are in disbelief of such wickedness from hell
But evil will be destroyed, as time will surely tell

Your earth from down under is ready to shake
To express its contempt and sound what is at stake
It is widening its cracks for a little more space
To welcome these insects to their rightful place

Your children hear your call, very loud and clear
The ones time zones away and the ones thankfully near
Your tearful mothers shower them with prayers and flowers
As they defiantly head to destroy -- these looting aggressors
Do not expect others to heed your call or need
In the end it is your own who will be your only shield

Yes we are full of sorrow and full of anxiety
But none of us will shrink from doing our duty
Setbacks You have had but these are momentary
Have faith, have confidence, just read your history
You didn't come this far by luck or accident
It was by historic bravery, one without precedent

So Forza Eritrea, my beloved country
Victory and liberty are your only destiny
Your liberators are at hand to do you proud again
On your territory, NOT one thug shall remain
You have been occupied before by the same invader
And this one's demise is also around the corner
Throughout your history, you have never kneeled down
Jewels of countless victories still line up your crown
To oppressors and aggressors you shall never succumb
