Dear Mr. Fisseha Adunga (Abyssinia's charge d'affairs). I read your kiss and tell story in the Washington Times, dated June 3, 1999. I was not surprised by all the lies you have in it. The reason is simple. The Abyssinian leaders and their followers are court certified, pathological liars, as well as, con artists. Here are some facts:
Sir let me remind you, by your insult to injury. Just a week ago, here in the Nation's capitol, in front of the Abyssinian's Embassy and State Departments; Canada, Australia, England and the rest of the world, except Abyssinia, the Oromo people held a rally, condemning and protesting the use of the Oromo people as mine sweepers. Therefore, do you mean to tell us all these thousands of people are sick, liars, insane, or did you just forget about that? I guess you have amnesia or you are trying to deceive the world, again.
In paragraph 6, line 17, you mentioned that, "Eritrea still occupies Abyssinia's territory." Approximately a year ago, your Assistant Foreign Secretary told the Abyssinian people at the Capital Hilton that the Abyssinian forces killed more than 12,000 Eritrean defense forces in the occupied area. Here, something is not clear. How can they still occupy it if the Abyssinian troops killed 12,000 in a few days? Please help enlighten us as to which one is true? Maybe they were killed while the Abyssinian troops were retreating or are your military reporting in reverse. Or maybe the World can't see what Stevey Wonder can.
Here I have a few geographical lessons for you and your followers. What you consider is part of Ethiopia is not part of Ethiopia.
Allow me to respond to your article, paragraph 9, line 6. Do you mean to tell the world that less than 5 million Gebreannias or Ishbagadish people won a free election over a population of 18 million Oromos and 14 million Amhara people? To my knowledge and understanding, if there were a free election the office would go to the Oromo's or the Amhara people, supported by other minorities. The Gebreananians or Ishbagadish people can not lead the rest of the Abyssianians because:
Mr. Fisseha again allow me to quote a phrase from the Holy Bible.
"And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?" or how wilt thou say to thy borther, let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and behold, a beam is in thine own eye?" Thou hyprcrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye." Matthew 7:3-5
Dear Sir, you mentioned that Eritrea has a problem with all its neighbors. I remember when we had a border problem with Yemen and the Abyssinian were one of the witnesses on the side of Eritrea, what about this? I can go into more details about this, but it is enough for now.
You complain that foreign journalists do not report on the positive aspects of Abyssinia. You call foreign journalists all kinds of names who have written positive things about Eritrea. Explain to me, how can the foreign journalists write a report, when you do not even trust the local journalist. Mention one foreign journalist you have taken to the war front since it has started. Here, I challenge you, choose one, or as many as you want, foreign journalists to go to Eritrea and interview the prisoners of war. You will find all that has been written to be true. I assure you that the Embassy of Eritrea in Washington and the Eritrean government will cooperate fully in this matter. Do not forget that Abyssinia has the highest number of journalist in jail in the world, not Eritrea.
Next, I would like to say to you and some of your Abyssinian followers who always seek the negative about Eritrea. I hear most of the time, the usual broken record, that Eritrea can't feed itself, but recently I saw a BBG report that Abyssinian has more than 5 million people on the verge of death from hunger or do you profess begging as a habit or profession.
Sir thanks, but no thanks. Let Eritrean worry about Eritrea and its government. If they were not happy with the performance of their government, they would not have contributed more than 10 million American dollars a month ago.
Finally, I would like to conclude my comments by saying all your positive input to help bring the war to an end is welcomed. All Eritreans are with you.
Sincerely,
Kidane Gebrehiwot
