Eritrea's Ministerial Cabinet has issued a statement reaffirming Eritrea's
standing commitment to peace but warned that any tampering with the OAU
Framework Agreement would not bring about a lasting solution to the conflict
between Eritrea and Ethiopia. The Cabinet, which met yesterday, said Eritrea
remained engaged in the agreed OAU Framework Agreement and resolved in
defense of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Eritrea. The Cabinet
reviewed national development projects currently underway and explored
ways and means of pursuing the development agenda with increased fervor.
The ministers and cabinet members reviewed favorably the extensive support
and unity of Eritreans at home and living abroad in the face of the TPLF's
continued aggression. The meeting condemned the renewed deportation of
Eritreans from Ethiopia and noted with dismay the lack of international
condemnation of these acts.
