Ahmed Shide, Minister of Government Communication Affairs Office (GCAO), told journalists today that the security officials have begun operation.
According to him, residents have been complaining of human rights violations and elders, who demanded to be added in the love and togetherness process, were abused by some leaderships in the regional state.
There was a shameful campaign by the leaderships claiming that they would rather die than to resign, he stated.
They also vowed to realize secession without the will and consent of the residents so as to pose a threat to the sovereignty of the country and create instability in the region, he said.
For fear of losing of power, the leaderships engaged the regional special force out of its mission- to block roads leading to Djibouti from Jigjiga, among others, he said.
According to the Minister, people were killed as well as religious and financial institutions were attacked following the violence occurred in the regional state and Jigjiga in particular, he added.
