Ethiopian Airlines reopens Asmara-Rome . After the rediscovered peace between Ethiopia and Eritrea , which we recently talked about in a meeting with the Lombardy Region organized in partnership with Mission ( read here ), Italy returns to have a direct connection with the ex-colony lying on the Red Sea , thanks to the Ethiopian vector. The largest company in Africa ( read here) has recently announced that it will fly between the Eritrean capital and the Italian one starting from 18 December, with a three-weekly frequency, on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. The aircraft used has not been made known, even if the African carrier already flies to Rome Fiumicino with double corridor machines, such as the B787-800 with 24 seats in business class and 246 in economy or the B777, with 28 seats in business and 287 in economy.
Ethiopian Airlines reopens the Asmara-Rome flight, although Eritrea has its own airline, the Eritrean Airlines, which, however, has a regional network only, with flights from Asmara to Dubai, Jeddah, Karthoum, Jeddah or Addis Ababa, also if your site also reports a periodic flight to Milan ( see here ). To date, the Eritrean carrier has a B737-300 and a B767-200 in its fleet.
