ADDIS ABABA - Ethiopian Airlines strongly focuses on Eritrea. In December, the airline starts flights from the capital Asmara to Italy, the United Kingdom, Sweden and Norway. Ethiopian resumed flight to Eritrea last summer after twenty years.
That was possible after Ethiopia and the neighboring country signed a peace agreement, after a bloody war of independence raged in the late 1990s. Ethiopian also took a share in Eritrean Airlines, the small national airline of the East African country.
According to Routes Online , Ethiopian flies from Asmara to London Heathrow (three times a week with an Airbus A350), Milan Malpensa via Rome Fiumicino (three times a week with a Boeing 777 or 787) and Oslo via Stockholm (twice a week with a Boeing 787).
