Dawit Gebremichael Habte joins us to discuss his memoir Gratitude in Low Voices. The book chronicles his journey as a young man from a war-torn Eritrea to Kenya, and finally to asylum in the U.S. After arriving in the U.S., he proceeded to graduate from John Hopkins University and get a job as a software engineer at Bloomberg. Habte, with the help of Michael Bloomberg himself, later returned to his homeland to help other Eritreans.
