Aggreko will install a solar plant at site with a capacity of 7 MW to compliment 22 MW of diesel power generation at the Nevsun Resources mine.
The innovative power contract is the first of its kind for Aggreko in Africa and will be one of the largest solar installations in Eritrea. The solar/diesel hybrid combines the benefits of renewable energy with the reliability of diesel to supply power to the Bisha mine.
