The winner of the mountain classification of the Dauphiné Critérium2016, Daniel Teklehaimanot , has managed to obtain a new professional contract after leaving the ranks of Dimension Data . The29-year-old Teklehaimanot saw his continuity in professional cycling at the end of 2017 jeopardized, when the South African formationDimension Data decided not to prolong the contract of the Eritrean climber. While other runners attended the training camps of their respective teams, the future professional of Teklehaimanot was still in the air.
Teklehaimanot rose to fame with the MTN-Qhubeka / Dimension Data squad , where he won the mountain classification at the prestigious Critérium de Dauphiné in 2015, his great feat would serve him for weeks later to debut in the Tour de France , where he would dress in more than once his longed for polka-dot jersey.
