Eritrea’s Bisrat Ghebremeskel won the elite-U23 women’s road race at the African Continental Road Championships in Kigali, Rwanda, today.

She completed the 84km event in 2:46:31 ahead of Ethiopian Tsega Beyene (2:46:38) and fellow Eritrean Mosana Debesay (2:46:38).

Well known in the South African cycling fraternity, Vera Adrian of Namibia (2:46:44) and Kim le Court of Mauritius (2:47:05) finished seventh and ninth respectively.
