SALTBOMMEL - The bodies of the two young Eritreans from Zaltbommel, who drowned in the Waal near Brakel last Thursday , will be returned to their motherland on Friday. There they are buried.
The costs for the repatriation and funeral in Eritrea are partly paid by the municipality of Zaltbommel. The company Ravas, the employer of Melake, also contributes. And cycle De Spullewaard, where Kedane worked, started a collection campaign. The shop has a memorial corner, where people can leave a message but also a financial contribution.
A salvage company drove the car out of the water and carried it away for police investigation.
