Abu Dhabi - HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, received here today at the beach palace the Eritrean President, Isaias Afwerki, who is currently on a visit to the UAE.
During the meeting, which was attended by Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, he welcomed the Eritrean President's visit to the UAE. He expressed the hope that this visit will contribute to enhancing the cooperation relations between the UAE and Eritrea during The next stage, which will benefit the two countries and their friendly peoples.
Mohammed bin Zayed and the Eritrean President discussed the friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
In addition to the overall African and international issues of common interest.
The two sides reviewed the possibilities and opportunities of cooperation between the two countries in the economic, trade, investment and development fields and the future prospects for enhancing and developing them to serve the common interests of the two countries.
They also exchanged views on regional and international developments and issues of mutual concern.
