Biniam Hailu (World Cycling Center) won this Friday night, the first stage of Aubel-Thimister-Stavelot (MJ 2.1), disputed over 90 kilometers around Aubel (Province of Liège). The Eritrean beat Remco Evenepoel (Acrog-Pauwels Sauzen Juniors) and his team-mate Juan Tito Rendon. 

Biniam Hailu becomes at the same time the first leader of this 52nd edition.
