Under Patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Eritrean President and Ethiopian PM Sign Jeddah Agreement for Peace between their two countries, Decorates them with King Abdulaziz Necklace

Jeddah, Muharram 06, 1440, September 16, 2018, SPA -- Under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the President of the State of Eritrea Isaias Afwerki and Prime Minister of Ethiopia Abiy Ahmed Ali signed today Jeddah Agreement for Peace between the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and the State of Eritrea, in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Crown Prince, Vice President of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Defense.
Then, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques decorated each of the President of the State of Eritrea and the Prime Minister of Ethiopia with King Abdulaziz Necklace.




The signing ceremony was attended by the Secretary General of the United Nations Antonio Guterres and UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.



The event was also attended by Prince Khalid Al-Faisal bin Abdulaziz, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Governor of Makkah Region; Prince Dr. Mansour bin Mit'eb bin Abdulaziz, Minister of State, Member of the Cabinet and Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques; Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior; Dr. Essam bin Saad bin Saeed, Minister of State and Member of the Cabinet, who serves as guide of the President of the State of Eritrea; Khalid bin Abdulrahman Al-Issa, Minister of State, Member of the Cabinet and Chief of the Royal Court; Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Jadaan, Minister of Finance; Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Qattan, Minister of State for African Countries' Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who serves as guide of the Prime Minister of Ethiopia; Abdullah bin Yahya Al-Moallimi, Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the United Nations Organization; Abdullah bin Falih Al-Arjani, the Saudi Ambassador to Ethiopia, and Dr. Abdullah bin Sultan Al-Sharif, Acting Charge d'Affaires of the Saudi Embassy in Eritrea.
The signing ceremony was also attended by the official delegations of the President of the State of Eritrea and the Prime Minister of Ethiopia.

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Receives President of Eritrea and PM of Ethiopia

Jeddah, Muharram 06, 1440, September 16, 2018, SPA -- The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud received at Al-Salam palace in Jeddah today each of the President of Eritrea Isaias Efwerki and the Prime Minister of Ethiopia Abiy Ahmed Ali. 

They were also received by Prince Khalid Al-Faisal bin Abdulaziz, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Governor of Makkah Region; and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Crown Prince, Vice President of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Defense.

To mark the occasion, an official welcome ceremony was accorded to the President of Eritrea and the Prime Minister of Ethiopia with the national anthems of the two countries as well of the Kingdom were played.

Then, the President of Eritrea and the Prime Minister of Ethiopia shook hands with their hosts: Prince Dr. Mansour bin Mit'eb bin Abdulaziz, Minister of State, Member of the Cabinet and Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques; Prince Mishaal bin Majid bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Jeddah Province; Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior; Prince Khalid bin Abdulaziz bin Ayyaf, Minister of National Guard, other ministers and commanders of military sectors.
On the other hand, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques shook hands with the official delegations of each of the President of Eritrea and the Prime Minister of Ethiopia.

Then, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud accompanied the President of Eritrea Isaias Efwerki and the Prime Minister of Ethiopia Abiy Ahmed Ali to the main gallery at the Royal Court where the two senior guests shook hands with princes, ministers and senior officials.

On the occasion, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques gave a luncheon banquet in honor of the Kingdom's guests.
