Jakub Mareczko ( Wilier Triestina-Selle Italia) won the fifth stage of the Taihu Lake Tour , played between Nantong and Haimen on 146.5 kilometers on Friday. The Italian has largely dominated the sprint. The rider of 24 years outperformed its young compatriot Imerio Cima ( Japanese-Vini Fantini-Europa Ovini) and the Eritrean Natnael Tesfatsion . Leader since the second stage, Boris Vallée (Wanty-Groupe Gobert) has kept the orange jersey. The Belgian is 15 seconds ahead of Benjamin Dybal ( St. George Continental Cycling Team) and Alexander Cataford (UnitedHealthcare Pro Cycling Team). The leader also finished 4th in the sprint and said he wanted to win the Taihu Lake Tour .
