Minister of Communications meets Eritrean Ambassador to discuss cooperation between the two countries in the field of communications and information technology

Dr. Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, met with the delegation of the Eritrean Ambassador to Egypt, Faysal Tekleh, to discuss the enhancement of cooperation mechanisms between the two countries in the field of communications and information technology.
The meeting tackled the historical and distinguished relations between the two countries at all levels, in light of coordination and joint action under the umbrella of the African Union.
During the meeting, Dr. Amr Talat stressed Egypt's keenness to support all cooperation activities with its brothers in the African continent to achieve development and integration in the field of communications and information technology, especially with Egypt assuming the presidency of the African Union and the follow-up of a series of initiatives under the umbrella of the Union. Which is implemented by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology with the aim of providing a strategic partnership with sister African countries to promote the digital transformation in the countries of the continent, thus contributing to rationalize the resources of countries and improve the quality of services provided to citizens, Maip; reviewing the areas of Egyptian African cooperation in the areas of capacity building and providing access to information.
The Eritrean Ambassador expressed hope to enhance cooperation with Egypt in the field of communications and information technology and to benefit from expertise in digital capacity building and cooperation with Egypt in the initiative to promote digital transformation in the continent.
