An informative session of CECCO took place in Calgary the 14th of May at the Indo Canadian Center from 04:00 to 07:00 p.m
Members of the Eritrean Calgary Community gathered to be informed on CECCO activities, community development, and issues of coordination and collaboration of the Canada wide Coalition of the Eritrean Canadian Communities and Organizations .
The present members endorsed the petition prepared by CECCO against the COI and a committee of 5 CECCO representatives that will implement the petition campaign and future CECCO activities in the area was elected.
The Development of the community and outreach to Calgarian, Eritrean Canadians remained at the core of the discussions. CECCO reassured the community representatives that it will work along the board members to strengthen the development of the Community and will work for a wider outreach campaign of a Unified Patriotic Voice that advocates for Eritrean National issues and Development.
A petition based on the Global ACTION against the COI machinations was signed . The present members contribute $ 1100 Canadian dollars towards the CECCO efforts and promised to support the organization with it's lobbying activities.
The community announced all details of the Jubilee colourful Independence Celebration and members committed to participate in a coordinated effort for a successful event.
