Ethiopia's foreign ministry has issued an apology after publishing a map on its website that did not include neighbouring Somalia.
The inaccurate map, uploaded to the country's Ministry of Foreign Affairs page, had other inaccuracies including the Republic of Congo and the Democratic Republic of Congo being one country, and South Sudan disappearing despite splitting from Sudan in 2011.
It also included Somaliland, a self-declared territory that is not internationally recognised.
'We sincerely regret any confusion and misunderstanding this incident might have caused,' a statement from the ministry said.
