The federal police has arrested a suspected female smuggler from Eritrea at the airport. The 44-year-old was wanted with an arrest warrant because she is said to have organized the illegal entry of 15 people from Eritrea from Italy to Germany in the summer of 2013.
The driver was already flown in 2013
The driver of the last of a total of six smuggler trips had already flown up in late August 2013 in Irschenberg in Upper Bavaria. According to him, the woman arrested on Tuesday was the client. For the rides she is said to have demanded several hundred euros from the people who were trafficked.
The woman had a residence permit for Italy. She came to Dusseldorf with a machine from Stockholm. So far, however, the suspects remained silent on the allegations.
