Monterrey.- The sixteenth edition of the Powerade Monterrey Marathon took place this Sunday morning with the participation of 7,500 runners.

Credits: Alexis Lozano / ABC News In the women's competition, Guadalupe Oropeza shone by surprising everyone by setting a new record with a time of 02:30:05 in the 42 kilometer race, causing the public to stand up to applaud her feat.
In second place, the Mexican athlete Adela Honorato Domínguez stood out with a time of 02:33:59, while third place went to Fanny Oropeza, sister of the winner, Jaqueline Oropeza with 02:36:58.
