Important meeting between the presidents of Sudan and Eritrea during the China-Africa Forum

Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Sudanese Armed Forces, met today at his residence with Eritrean President Isaias Afwerki, on the sidelines of his participation in the China-Africa Forum.
According to the statement issued by the Sovereignty Council's media center, Lieutenant General Al-Burhan stressed that Eritrea is a sister country to Sudan, as it stood by the Sudanese and hosted large numbers who sought refuge there due to the war, praising Eritrea's supportive positions towards Sudan.
The Chairman of the Sovereignty Council expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Eritrean government and people for their solidarity with Sudan at this critical stage in its history.
The meeting was attended from the Sudanese side by the Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Finance and Economic Planning, while from the Eritrean side it was attended by the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
