President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi arrived in Asmara
On the invitation of President Isaias Afwerki, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi and his delegation arrived in Asmara, in the late morning hours today, for an official visit.
President el-Sisi and his delegation, which includes the Minister of National Security; the Chief of Presidential Cabinet; and, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, were accorded warm welcome by President Isaias Afwerki on their arrival at Asmara's International Airport.
The two leaders will discuss enhancement of bilateral ties and other matters of mutual interest later in the day.
This will be followed by a Tripartite Summit between President Isaias Afwerki, President Abdel-Fattah el-Sisi and President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud on bolstering the ties between the three countries as well as matters of regional security and stability.
