Intercultural: An immersive vision and sound art experience by interdisciplinary artist Sheinina Lolita Raj with Sound Art collaboration by Nelly Furtado

Asmara: Africa's Secret Modernist City.Asmara is the capital city of Eritrea in Africa and has recently achieved Unesco World heritage site status.

This international focus is in anticipation of Art Deco Weekend 2018, which will have a theme of "Art Deco Around the World." Both exhibits will be on view at the Art Deco Museum through December 31st 2017.

MDPL members receive free admission.

- Refreshments and an Eritrean Coffee ceremony

- Introduction to Intercultural: Sheinina Lolita Raj with sound collaboration by Nelly Furtado

- Introduction and presentation of Asmara by members of the Eritrean Community, promoter Christoph Melchers and Naigzy Gebremedhin, former Director of Cultural Assets Rehabilitation Project of Eritrea and co-author of Asmara - Africa's Secret Modernist City

The Art Deco Museum is open 10am – 5pm, Tuesday – Sunday (Thursdays until 7pm) at 1001 Ocean Drive, Miami Beach, FL.
