After yesterday's team time trials , today in Kigali, Rwanda , individual tests against the time ofthe African Road Championships took place . For the sixth time in the last eight years, the race for the men's elite category has seen the affirmation of Eritrea: to cheer it was Mekseb Debesay who traveled the 40 km race with a time of 53'25 ". Together with the 26-year-old Dimension Data Team, two talented Eritreans like Jean Bosco Nsengimana and Joseph Areruya, 51 "and 54" respectively stand on the podium. The remaining 33 athletes are further away, starting with the Ethiopian Redwan Ebrahim, who is now 2'15 ".

The big party in the Eritrea house, and especially in the Debesay family, has also continued among the women . The new continental champion is Mossana Debesay , who is none other than the sister of Mekseb (and the other cyclist Ferekalsi). The twenty-four year old got the better of the Ethiopian Selam Amha and Tesfoam Gebru, 13 "and 1'25" far away.
