Trained by Ruggero Pertile , the Paduan champion of the fund, the African athlete has cut the finish line first in Prato della Valle, on a hot day in April, with a splendid sun.
Behind him three Kenyan athletes, favorites on the eve: Paul Maina(2h12'35 "), Omiso Stpehen Arita(2h15'49") and Robert Ndiwa (2h19'35 ").
For the winner, this is the personal record.
Solomon is only 21 years old and was discovered by Pertile in Eritrea. The Paduan champion believes in him and considers that he has enormous room for improvement. It should also be kept in mind that Solomon was only at his second marathon on these levels.
