The city of New Orleans, Louisiana Proclaimed May 24th as Eritreans Independence Day; and hoist Eritrean flag at the city hall building
On Friday, May 18th , 2018 Eritrean –American Community of New Orleans and its Environs celebrated as Eritrean flag raised at the building of the city hall. The Mayor of New Orleans Mrs. Latoya Cantrell presented a Proclamation of certificate to the community.
We were honored and pleased to see the flag of Eritrean to be hoist next to the American flag, which was raised for third consecutive year. We salute to our martyr’s sacrifice by celebrating this special day.
The Flag of Eritrea will be flying at the building for the next two week, and then will be moved to the lobby.
