About Danakali Limited
Danakali Limited (ASX: DNK) focuses on the development of the Colluli Potash project ( Colluli or the project). The project is located in theDanakil Plain in Eritrea, East Africa and is 100% owned by the Colluli Mining Share Company (CMSC). CMSC is a 50:50 joint venture between Danakali Limited and the Eritrean National Mining Company (ENAMCO).
Since the beginning of drilling at Colluli in early 2010, more than 1 billion tonnes of high-grade potassium-bearing salts have been identified that are suitable for potash production.
Following the positive results of a Prefeasibility Study (PFS) for Potassium Sulphate Production (SOP) in February 2015 and a Final Feasibility Study (DFS) completed in November 2015, a Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) was launched in January 2018. Study completed for a modular SOP development.
In February 2017, a Mining Agreement was signed with the Eritrean Ministry of Energy and Mines, after which seven Mining Licenses were awarded.
