The festival coordinating committee, disclosed yesterday Monday 15th July 2019 that the
preparations for the 18th Eritrean Festival in UK
has been finalised.
The Festival Task Force stated that the preparations for the great event hold a special meaning and
that presently committees and sub-committees have been set
up to oversee the
preparations that would include Bazaar, Cultural & Arts Exhibitions, Shingrwa Academy, Seminar
by High Delegation of the Government of Eritrea,
Women Forum by President of NUEW, Sport competitions UK level, Sawa@25, Professional Forum, Youth / Hidri, Children
location & decoration of festival, among others.
The preparation took months and would feature
educational programs general knowledge competition, innovations as well as
other entertainment
programs, he Festival Task Force noted.
The festival will be held from 20 to 21 July 2019 at Harrow Leisure Centre in London United Kingdom.
Festival Task Force, also indicated
that all regions in UK will participate in the
festival with programs
depicting their respective regional resources and the youth from UK portraying their national and social activities.
The
Festival Task Force reiterated that thousands Eritrean and friends of Eritrea are expected
to participate at the festival and that all the
basic accommodation facilities
are put in place.
The Eritrean UK Festival that is conducted every year
serves as a platform for Eritrean in United Kingdom to share
experiences and
upgrade their innovative and creative skills in addition to reinforcing the
national cherished values.
