The Eritrean Amare Samsom won the 3rd edition of the 10 km of Franceville on Saturday in Franceville in the South-East of Gabon, ahead of his main challengers the Ethiopian, Dida Gemechu and the Kenyan Biwott Bernard.
The Eritrean athlete crossed the finish line in 29 minutes 55 seconds.
His main opponents, also professional runners, the Ethiopian, Dida Gemechu and the Kenyan Biwott Bernard, respectively arrived in 30 minutes 10 seconds (2nd) and 30 minutes 52 seconds (3rd).
Among the women, the Ethiopian Dessie Anchilanu won ahead of her compatriot, Samuel Alemaz, winner of the 10 km of Port-Gentil 2022 to win this 3rd edition of the Run in Masuku with a time of 34 minutes 24 seconds.
Her direct competitors, the Kenyans, Cherono Eva and Chebet Miriam came in second and third position 34'49 and 34'57.
